My First PC Build... And my First PC!

Well I have made the move from Mac to PC. I love the OS and it's miles ahead of Windows 7 in my opinion but I just can;t deal with the restrictiveness anymore, I want to be able to upgrade, try my hand at coding, have access to more games and pay a decent price for hardware instead of the extortionate upgrade costs on Macs. So here I am, not only with my first PC build... but my first PC ever full stop

Here's my components, I'm working to a budget of £750 + VAT. Obviously because I'm moving from a Mac I had virtually nothing... Only a keyboard! Everything else, monitor, mouse and all has to be included in that budget.

I know I have skimped on some things, like the case is pretty crappy and the mobo isn't stunning, but I'll be upgrading the case later on and the mobo has everything I need just now anyway. The basket above does not include Windows 7 OEM which I will be buying, which takes it up to about £740.
Any comments? Anything I should change?

One question I have is on Scan.co.uk, the Gigabyte UD3 is £6 cheaper than the Gigabyte D3H-B3, but huh... I can;t tell the difference

Anyway thanks in advance for your help!

    I would check this guide:

I have not updated it yet as Bulldozer is out on Wednesday and not much has changed for the gaming PCs.

Why thank you! That's a great guide you've got there Looks like I'm pretty much matched with the £750 bigger budget build besides CPU cooler and case...
I did think about the Thermaltake Dokker but I want to upgrade my case later on anyway, so I cheaped out on it this time around. I know that's not necessarily a great ethic to building a computer... But I'm in the situation where I have to buy all the peripherals as well, so something had to give, if you see what I mean.

What about the monitor I have chosen? The Acer?

Good luck with the build. Nothing more exciting that putting it all together.
