As a little bit of a conclusion to the story.

    Got the:
    3870k
    Scythe Shuriken Revision B
    Gigabyte GA-A75N-USB3
    KHX1600C9D3LK2/8GX (Kingston 8gb 1600 1.35 voltage, with standard 9 timings)
Samsung 830 128GB (got the desktop kit as i need another cable and then the drive mount was just in case)
Samsung M8 750GB (2.5 hdd for power saving)
    Samsung Slim Optical Drive
SG05 USB3 (wanted only usb 2 version, but sold out ( would have been £6 cheaper))
    HDMI Xenta Flat cable 1m
    AOC i2353Fh
    Edimax mini usb wifi

This should hopefully all come to a total of £535.08

Haha, i will see what i can do. At very least my workmate has said he will lend me his watt meter thing. Sorry not sure exactly what it's called, but i can see the changes in power usage. So hopefully provide a little insight into this.

Though my next project is my daughter in around 2 months...

Bit clearer as to what i bought.

    CPU - AMD A8 3870k Black Edition
CPU Cooler - Scythe Shuriken Revision B
    Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-A75N-USB3
RAM - 8GB Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz low voltage 1.35 voltage, with standard 9 timings
SSD - Samsung 830 128GB (got the desktop kit as i need another cable and then the drive mount was just in case)
HDD - Samsung M8 750GB (2.5 hdd for power saving)
DVD-RW - Samsung Slim Optical Drive
Case - SG05 USB3 (wanted only usb 2 version, but sold out (would have been £6 cheaper))
HDMI Cable - HDMI Xenta Flat cable 1m – it’s smaller so takes less room
