Good choice.
As for your previous question "is the 8 core amd that bad" - the answer is yes.
Firstly the 8150 is rated to 125W stock, where as the 3570k is 77w. With a decent overclock the 8150 will hit 175w+ (which is huge!), the 3570k will barely break 100w with a huge overclock.
On benchmarks, I've seen the 8150 just about keep up with some synthetic CPU-limited tests, but this doesnt carry to real-life. The 3570k performs much better with real-life applications, for gaming (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...k_6.html#sect0) you'll see anywhere from a 30-50% increase in frame-rates (depending on your setup, game, settings etc).
So overall, the 3570k or 3770k (which i've got) is a very good choice, probably the best choice (excl the overpriced SandyBridge-E socket 2011 processors) for gaming.
