Hi,
Looking to build a PC for the first time in many years, been using my current system that was built over 5 years ago so will not be able to leverage much from it apart from peripherals (perhaps may re-use my monitor, a LG 226WTQ, decent but nothing spectacular compared to the IPS ones available now).
Gaming usage will not be too intense, Football Manager 2013, FIFA alongside lots of multi-tabbed browsing, occasional development tools etc.
Looking to have a system that will last for the next few years before another upgrade is needed.
Been trying to catch up on hardware development these years and so far, I have the following:
Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz
Mobo: ATX Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power L8 630W CM Power Supply BN182 Modular 80+ Bronze 120mm Silent Fan
SSD: Crucial m4 128GB 2.5" SATA-III Solid State Hard Drive w/ 3.5" Bracket
Any suggestions on better alternatives (and most importantly, have I overlooked any compatibility issues)?
CPU Cooler (Have this already from a friend): be quiet! Dark Rock Advanced
OS: Will be dual booting with Ubuntu and Win 7 (have license so do not need to buy)
Not quite have my heart set on the following so any suggestions would also be great:
Case: Have taken a look at the Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus but not quite certain yet - any suggestions on ones with good airflow?
Graphics Card: Absolutely have not decided on one yet ... open to any ideas
Thanks.
