    Question Christmas Build

    Hi Guys

I'm looking to put together a new PC and this is what I've come up with (plus its within the £1k budget)

    Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
    INTEL i5 3570k ivy
Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU Cooler
    MSI GTX660 Ti PE OC
Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM 23 inch IPS LED
    Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB 1600 MHz

Can you guys forsee any problems that I might have with the Components above?

    Many thanks

    Re: Christmas Build

I'd probably add in a 'normal' fairly large hard drive to save the SSD space for just OS and any programs you use regularly.

    Hi Scotland & Aexl

    Many thanks for the responses:

Scotland I will be Recycling some of my components from my old build PC with the 1TB hdd being one of them -so the above list is all the NEW stuff I need to update :-)

Aexl -- My main need will be for Gaming but I doing tend to use CS/PS but rarely.
Main Game that I'm playing at the Mo is BF3 - So it requires a little bit off kick but next year I'm also looking to get the new crysis.

    Re: Christmas Build

Any reason for going to nvidia, amd offer great cards and are cheaper, they also overclock very well. You could get a amd 7950 for the same price as a 660ti and if you are playing battlefield then you are in luck as amd just released drivers that give a 20% increase in performance.
The Asus VN247H is a great monitor, it has a brilliant response time and has x2 hdmi ports so you can connect your pc and console easily to it.

    Re: Christmas Build

    Hi Xpygmy

I Prefer the Nvidia Cards over the ATI cards as I think them seem to have the more stabile drivers compare to ATI BUT I could be completely wrong on this. As I'm only going by past experience for what my Friends had with older ATI models

But yes you are right and the second person to tell me to get the ATI so it must be a GOOD GPU

    Many thanks
