Red face Another complete n00b building his first computer!!!

Hi guys! Please review the following build in case I made some crucial mistake or could improve something significantly without paying too much more. As you can tell, I can't quite decide on which case to get yet due to being aesthetically whimsical. Perhaps there are technical details that makes one superior to the other? Windows 7 is excluded from the list as I'll try to find some other website from where I can buy it more cheaply. Thanks in advance!

I knew I forgot something important! The CPU as well as the CPU fan! the reason I didn't add a CPU is because I already bought it and thus didn't think of linking to it on Scan as I wouldn't be buying it again and I just ended up forgetting about the CPU fan because of that.

Maybe an SSD? It will increase performance and they are a lot cheaper now. I recently purchased a Samsung 840 Pro and its increased my PC's performance massively! It all depends on how much you want to spend on one. Samsung 128GB 840 Pro Series Basic SSD - Solid State Drive - MZ-7PD128BW This is what i would recommend anyway.

I am assuming your budget is about £750 excluding the CPU and windows and that it is mainly a gaming rig you want?

Believe AOC has a newer version of that screen out but cannot remember the model number, the LG IPS screens are very similiar too and worth a look.
Have a look at the Dell S2440L that Aria have for £150. TFT central reviewed it and quite liked it.

Or stretch to the U2412HM at ~£190.

GPU wise I would pick the MSI 7950 twin frozr over the XFX for the better warranty and cooler. It is only £5 more and you should still get the games.

Another option if you want to save a bit is to step down to the 7870 Tahiti LE cards which equal the 7950 in some games. The sapphire version seems a good choice.

You can also get away with just 8Gb of RAM if you wanted and put the extra £10 somewhere else.

Cases are always tough to choose. Personally I quite like the Fractal Define series the old R3 is only £65 and the new R4 is £80.

If you drop down to a M-ATX motherboard you also have some interesting choices. Quite like the silverstone one, just remember to check the GPU will fit.
