Yeah, you're probably right.. Guess I might as well go with Amazon.

Cat - That's appreciated, but I think I might as well go with Amazon xD
And slight increase in noise doesn't really bother me as long as it comes with a performance increase too

Just to add into the Amazon thing - they offered to cross ship (free delivery) me a different PSU when mine was faulty and was discontinued on Amazon.
The also cross shipped me another case to swap the bent side panel out.
And now they're cross shipping me a new keyboard as my current one's windows key sometimes sticks.

    All in all Amazon >

    For an i5 I recommend getting a i5 3750K and either a Gigabyte (ds3h?) or a Asus (I have the P8Z77 v lx)
Z77 is supposed to be good for gaming and over clocking.

Already got 3570k w/ a gigabyte D3H on the list
Might as well go for the OEM version of the 3570k since I'll be putting in a separate cooler

The OEM version only has a 1 year warranty. The Core i5 3570K is cheaper at Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Genera...2879629&sr=8-1

Also, that DVD writer in my list, seems to support archival discs too. The M-Discs are expensive, but still it is nice to have support for them!!

@the amazon thing: I'm willing to pay the extra £5 to make sure my processor isn't put in a bin if nobody is around to collect (I've heard tell of Amazon occasionally using Yodel as a courier service, who have been known to do such stupid things as drop packages over fences, push packages under gates and put packages in bins.. And the time I heard of where the package was put into a bin, it was garbage collection day, so the package was actually dumped into the back of a garbage truck whilst the people who ordered it were at work)

I'll look at the DVD writer, although it is possible to have too much support for things xD

And that's a good point about the OEM processor.. Retail is only around £4 more, so might as well get the extra peace of mind.

My cousin (also on these forums) told me that's exactly what happened with his motherboard box. The guy just sandwiched it between the two bins out front.
