Ordering today from Scan, Final build review ! suggestions appriciated

    Hi.

I recived my motherboard a gigabyte 970a ud3 a few days ago and am about to order all remaing parts for my build
I would just like someone to check it over for compatability and make any suggestions they think worthwhile
I wont be orderin till about 8 or 9 and im trying to get everything from scan to get free postage ( thanks scan )
this build is mainly for gaming and my entire budget including the £75 motherboard is £600 heres the rest

Also I havent picked a case yet so any suggestions on that really appriciated, I dont really want to spend more than £50 and cooling and airflow is my main priority with the case.

AMD FX 6300 Black Edition £107.56

Antec High Current Gamer 520W £60
IF anyone could suggest a good quality PSU from scan for around the same price i will take that.

Seagate 1TB SATA 3 Performance Hard Drive
    £51.95

Cant pick between these 2 cards so any help appriciated, i know the 3gb of VRAM is too much now but perhaps a few years down the line games with mods and high res texture packs will need this ?
MSI GeForce GTX 660 Twin Frozr 2gb £157.99

    EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Superclocked+ 3GB

I have heard of a few instances of this memory refusing to run at 1600mhz on the MO i have bought, anyone know about this ? not to bothered about the colour the blue was cheapest
    Corsair Memory Vengeance Blue 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz £49.39

    was thinking this case ?
    Fractal design core 3000 £47.98

thanks in advance to everyone this is my first build and im really looing foward to putting it alll together.
can anyone recommend any specialist tools i might need.
    thankyou
    Chris

I would get the msi since its non reference and will have better oc ability and will run cooler and quieter. I guess if you really wanted front usb you could go with the 200r

Hi thanks for the reply, i got the impression any card made by another company was non refrence ? what makes the msi non refernce and the evga a refernce ?

I really like the look of that case and the fact that it dosent reqiure a screwdriver to do most of the work but it looks a bit on the smll side in terms of width and height, can you confirm it will fit the msi and the MO ?
    thanks

I would push a little extra and go with a Radeon 7870XT or 7870

    http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1312...LQ#srcid=11270

This is the XT/Tahiti LE variant meaning it uses the same architecture found in the 7900 series cards

The PSU is far cheaper at Ebuyer:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/245671-antec-5...761345-06205-3

    I would get this RAM:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Tec...ds=8gb+1866mhz

The HD7870XT/LE is also a good alternative too.

Just by looking at the cooler it is non reference. Generally msi add better capacitors and other things to ensure it can work fine when overclocked. The evga still uses the blower cooler which to me usually indicates its a reference card but since it has the extra 1gb of mem i guess its not reference.
If you talking about the 200r, its a great budget case and will do fine with your motherboard and card.
