    My Haswell Build

Since my best-friend persuaded me to get the new Haswells. I'd figured I should give them a chance.

    Specifications;

    Proccessor; Intel Core i5-4670K

    MoBo; AsRock Z87 Extreme4 / AsRock H87M Pro4

    PSU; Corsair CX600M

    RAM; Kingston 1600Mhz 16GB (8GBx2)

    Hard Drive; SeaGate Barracuda 2TB

GPU; GIGABYTE GeForce 650 Ti Boost / GIGABYTE 660 / AMD Radeon 7850

    Cooler; Corsair H100i / H80i

    Optical Drive; LG 24X Rewriter

    Case; Cooler Master K380

    KB; Logitech G105

    Mouse; Corsair Vengeance M95

    Monitor; ASUS 23" WLED Monitor

    Sub-Total; SGD$2035

Might go for cheaper things, but I don't know what's cheaper...
Help me, the site I use is www.bizgram.com.sg
Also, the GPU for me, like everyone, matters a lot to my build. So help me choose. Thanks in advance to all.

Also, what cable do I plug into the Optical Drive? As in SATA and power..

    Re: My Haswell Build

What's your budget, and what's you main useage ? Gaming ?
Do we need to add a copy of Windows ?
The cables for the Optical drive are the same as a HDD. One Power, and one SATA cable.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

You won't be able to fit the H100i in that case.
    Main - Intel Core i5 2300 @ 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, Asus P8P67 Pro, Coolermaster iGreen 600w, GTX 480, Antec One Case

    Re: My Haswell Build

If you want cheap then give up on the overclocking.

You can save around £200 that way, save yourself a whole load of hassle and it will still perform the same in most games.

    http://www.ebuyer.com/512557-asus-b8...io-matx-b85m-g
    £80 less on the MB
    £15 less on the CPU
Skip the H100i that doesn't fit entirely.

    I'm debating doing this myself.
And of course if you move some budget the the GPU you will actually have a system that performs better in games.

    Re: My Haswell Build

My budget is 2K, it's for Gaming. The Graphics card is now the 660 Ti with 3 Fans… I wonder if it fits. So I'll not overclock since I can save money… Yes, I need Windows. I have decided to get the H87M and the PSU is the Corsiar GS600.

Does the PSU have any problems?

    OK, so that's roughly £1k.

    That PSU should be fine.
