Solid build, just the gfx card is abit lacking but like you mentioned in the comments you can always upgrade down the line.

I would just wait for the 8000's release, we should see a price drop in the 7000's like what nvidia did with some of the 600 series.

The GPU and PSU are not priced.

    Aria postage isn't added.

Two of these may be cheaper for your ram (its faster too):-

No idea if buying two sticks the same will cause any problem matching them up. I imagine not but could be wrong.

Not sure you need 650W. A 550W is more than enough and even a 450 should be fine:-

Cooler:- Thor's hammer £17 on ebay. It does not come with a fan.

I'd probably go a 650W (or 550W at a pinch) if things like 7950s are considered down the line - while a 450W might do it, it'd be pushing it, and leaves no headroom for clocking and the like.

    Re: My i5 3570k build (Almost £600)

The number of PCIe plugs may be a downer. I don't think unless the OP uses a multi GPU setup he needs a 650w PSU; I think he'll be closer to the sweet spot @50% load on the PSU with something smaller.

    http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphi...x-780/?page=12

Shows a 7970ghz and stock 3770 drawing 289w during farcry 3. I imagine this is from the wall so the PSU is only delivering (289x0.85= (85% eff. best case imo)) 246w of its rated maximum. I assume you only use the 12v rail. The 550 linked will provide 44A @12v = 528w. A decent 450w will provide about 400w @12v.

the psu and gpu arent priced because they are already bought and what do you guys reccommend for a gpu upgrade?
also about that ram , amazon says takes usually 1-2 months to ship...

What resolution are you using and how much do you want to spend?

I found this the other week and I think its the Tahiti le card but call and check. If you sold the hd7850 for £80~ and overclocked you would get hd7950+ performance for £68.

    Re: My i5 3570k build (Almost £600)

The one to months is a bit of downer. I tend to ignore the important bits.

The 7870 is a Tahiti (925-975 with boost). Not sure on WAEs reputation; should be able to pick up a similar card for more but with game codes. I would just OC the nuts off the 7850 however if that is the actual card I believe its voltage locked. Check on the sapphire trixx webpage to see if its supported. At about 1150mhz it should be the same as a 7870.

I would wait till you get a new monitor and see if you get any slow downs.

Swap that 7850 for a 7950 and you have a solid 1080p gaming machine!
