The OCZ is not great,as it is a low end HEC made PSU. I would get the XFX PRO 450W.

If you were on a very tight budget this would have probably been better than the OCZ:

    Re: Another budget build

    OK cheers.

We managed to find a "suitable" case, which is a £45 Aerocool case + front fan + delivery. I know this is almost offset by opting for 4GB of ram instead of 8GB, so we still should be fine.
I also managed to find a Seasonic PSU which we will probably get if the 4A difference between it and the XFX don't matter, and if budget allows it.

With regards to budget, it looks like under £400 is the rough figure, but I've been told £350 is more ideal (which would then make getting the A8 APU more sensible) but I think we can still squeeze everything in. My next question is whether a graphics card is necessary (I'm thinking the onboard wont be that good when it comes to video editing, and website making) and if something a bit cheaper, such as a 6670 will be ok?

edit: would the HDD be slowed down by SATA2? THinking I can save some money by getting a 760G motherboard....

The 760G based motherboards are not worth it for a new AMD CPU. The 970 is much newer and has SATA3 too.

The XFX PRO 450W is made by Seasonic but is an older(but still solid) design.

The HD7750 is a GCN based card which means it is faster for computer based tasks than the HD6670.

Ok, I'll see what can be done. But would we be Ok to use the sea sonic? I reckon that extra efficiency will probably save some money in the long run.

Any more ideas on cases? We found an Aerocool but it's pretty expensive ;-)

And are we Ok to use the Sea sonic PSU?
