But as Kalniel rightly says, your comment also essentially amounts to saying "HP probably use cheap nasty PSUs in their computers". Left to stand, HP could potentially pursue Hexus, as the publisher of that comment, for defamation. I hate to say it, but you have to be very careful what you say in public on the internet. Twitter's been getting all the headlines in terms of court cases, but the same principle applies to any information published on the internet...
The mods are more than welcome to delete or edit my post if they find my choice of wording to be poor fella I think most of us can agree the choice of components seem rather strange in that system but I have NOT called it rubbish. It is in fact a better spec than I had anticipated before looking into it further....I still wouldn't buy one though.

The PSU is going to be cheap to maximize profit, it is there solely to cater to the system as is. Yes GPUs come with molex adapters but that's a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist in a gaming PC which is what they want the end result to be. If the PSU doesn't have PCI-E power hardwired I consider it "nasty", semi/fully modular PSUs being an exception obviously lol

BTW I never said to throw anything away!! In fact I would personally plan the upgrade path so that I would have a decent value gaming PC and enough spares from the OEM system to start thinking about constructing a HTPC for example. Yes changing the PSU, GPU then CPU and mobo will be more expensive in the long run but the nice long warranties should help "justify" the expense and if they end up with two systems by the end of it they might deem that money well spent.
