    New build next month

I have been slowly building a new PC for general use, a bit of gaming, a bit of photo editing etc.

    Items I have already bought:

    Case: Silverstone TJ08-E
Power Supply: Be Quiet Pure Power L8 630W Semi Modular
    SSD: 250GB Samsung 840 Pro

I have completely dismissed an AMD build due to shortage of decent affordable mATX motherboards.

Items I am considering buying next month are:

    CPU: Intel Core i5 4440
    Motherboard: Gigabyte H87M-HD3
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2)
CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock 2
Sound Card: Creative OEM PCI-E Sound Blaster Z
    Speakers: Microlabs SOLO6c
    Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2414H
    Keyboard: Corsair K-65

Graphics card? No idea yet, but don't want to spend more than £120 - I can even wait for a bit until something better comes out at that price range.

As you can see its not exactly the worlds most powerful system but I am aiming for some mid range power with some quietness.

    Any suggestions/comments?

    UPDATE:

Purchased the Motherboard, RAM, CPU Corsair Vengeance M65 Mouse and decided on the Asus GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB graphics card.

I have changed my mind on the monitor, I will actually get two 23" AOC IPS monitors instead.

Just need to purchase the keyboard, sound card and speakers now.

Sorry I did not see this earlier. I would go with the GTX660 and R9 270 over the GTX750TI. They are both faster and will last longer.

    Re: New build next month

I did look at the GTX660 and R9 270 which are both ever so slightly quicker than the 750 Ti OC edition but couldn't find one near my £100 budget from a reputable brand with a good RMA Policy - I also dislike stock coolers as they tend to be considered too noisy by my girlfriends sensitive ears, so a nice and quiet after market cooler is a must.

If you know of any cards that ticks all the boxes it's not too late to change my order.

Argh! You've only gone ahead and done it haven't you, Cat....I decided to look a little more and dug a little deeper into my pockets and ended up buying the Gigabyte R9 270 OC 2GB!

In some games a R9 270 can be around 40% faster!!

    This one I assume:

    http://www.dabs.com/products/gigabyt...ld-4-952B.html

    Gigabyte has UK based RMA.

I have a SB based Xeon E3 1220(a Core i5 2400 with more L3 cache) and a GTX660 and it can run many games fine, and those include Crysis3 and Metro:Last Light.

    A Core i5 4440 and a R9 270 should be faster overall.

Yeah that's the one CAT - sometimes it's better to just spend that extra £20, cheers for your advice.
