My first ever liquid cooled build

Hi guys. My name is Abdullah and I'm a catering manager from Oxford. I've been building my own computers since 1999 and finally last year gathered the courage to put water in my computer for the first time. The LCS is about 8 months old but the computer in whole is just over a year old. I'm including just three final pictures with this thread for now but I have a somewhat build log. I hope you guys like them.

I always thought those fans looked retro. I am no really into retro but I don't think they look bad.

That back plate has my mouth watering, it is so awesome. The whole build is very well put together from a quick once over. I would love to get my hands on it and check out behind the back plate. Just too see it. Bravo OP, Bravo!

Re: My firs ever liquid cooled build

That's a really impressive build for a first time watercooling project, well done.

If I was going to be a little nit-picky then the only thing I can think of, would be to add some colour to the water in loop, like maybe some red. I'm not expert in watercooling, but I have heard that coloured water makes it easier to identify when the liquid is, or isn't flowing correctly, but I am not sure if that's true or just some sort of myth, regardless of that, I think some colour in the tubes would work well to add emphasis to your colour scheme.

Re: My firs ever liquid cooled build

Excuse the big crappy phone pic, this is Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 16/11 - Red, semi translucent so you can see bubbles etc and avoids staining & deposits that you can get with dyes.

Re: My firs ever liquid cooled build

I thank everyone for your compliments and kind suggestions. In reply to some of your suggestions regarding red dye or red tubing I'd like to let you know that I did want to buy the Primochill Primoflex Advance LRT red tubes initially but found them to be of an orangey red color which didn't match with the rest of the reds in the system. You can see the difference in macadee's tubes and PCI-E power cables. So I ended up getting the clear version of the same tubing. I did put red dye at one point but something didn't feel right. I wanted to keep it maintenance free plus as you can see in the third picture, my reservoir has LEDs in it's base which makes it shine red a long with the rest of the system. Using dye made it look gloomy and my computer is aesthetically presentable for night time and that's the only time I game after work. If you guys insist, I can start a new thread with the build log which will show you how the back plate was made and put in place. I could've used corsair AF fans with red rings on the bottom rad like the one on the rear exhaust but only used Noctuas on all radiators because performance also matters and just the two of the seven noctuas are showing and my next mood will cover them too.

Agreed, stunning build. Is the carbon fibre look a mod, or is that standard with that case?

Re: My firs ever liquid cooled build

Very clean looking build; I like it a lot

I'd advise putting some sort of colouring into the loop as well; besides it'll go fantastic with the rest of the system.

    Good job... I am jealous
"If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0" ||| "I'm not interrupting you, I'm putting our conversation in full-duplex mode" ||| "The problem with UDP joke: I don't get half of them"
"I’d tell you the one about the CIDR block, but you’re too classy" ||| "There’s no place like 127.0.0.1" ||| "I made an NTP joke once. The timing was perfect."
"In high society, TCP is more welcome than UDP. At least it knows a proper handshake."

The carbon fibre is a backplate mod. It's also on the bulkhead. Here's a before and after LCS + mod picture. Since this picture, the memory was changed as can be seen in the other pictures
