    Is this build ok?

Here's the build that I'm thinking of going for. It's colour scheme is red and black and in future I will probably add a water cooler in future plus an extra 8gb of ram.

    Here it is:
    Case:Corsair Obsidian Series 450D
    Motherboard:MSI Z87-G43 GAMING
    CPU:Intel Core i5 4670K
GPU:2GB MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming OC
    Power Supply:
    Storage(1):WD 1tb Caviar Black
    Storage(2):Corsair 120gb Neutron GTX SSD
    RAM:Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 8GB (2x4GB)
OS: Windows 8.1 disk drive format

    Total Price: £839.11

Any tips or suggestions are welcomed especially on how to install the OS without a disk drive (USB), Any good guides on how to build a PC out there etc...

I use a USB optical drive. Can you borrow one from someone? Otherwise you can put the Windows install media onto a USB stick if you Google for it. ISTR it was pretty easy the one time I tried it, something like format the drive in NTFS and just copy the files over from optical media.

    Re: Is this build ok?

There is a very nice program for creating installation USB media for Windows 7/8/8.1 OR http://pcsupport.about.com/od/window...dows-8-usb.htm

Have the OS as digital if you can, if you can't, just download an ISO with integrated updates.

Personally I would go for a different SSD (Crucial, Samsung or Plextor).

If you could, try to switch from the WD Black to Seagate SSHD (£3 difference) and the later is definitely better I would say.

Can't see any PSU. Any choosen yet? I would say a good quality 450W should be more that enough (XFX Pro 450W).

As for building a PC, the best would be to have someone at hand who done it before (to save time, nerves and possible money) if not, just Google "How to build a (gaming) PC" and choose a site who's name you recognize (PCPro, Micromart, etc). Or even YouTube has some (got to have some, its YouTube).

    Good luck

Don't forget to shop around, claim discounts and cash back and just take it easy :-D

The WD Black is 7200RPM and comes with 5 year warranty. Would you get a benefit from sshd if you aren't booting from it? Not sure.

3.5in WD Black drives can be a bit noisy. Last one I got was a laptop drive, that was really quiet. Is noise an issue?

Even if just plays games from it, after 2-3x starts it will be faster loading that with WD Black.
