    Advice required for case cooling.

Right, having a little bit of cooling issues with my PC after a GPU upgrade, so after some advice for new fans

Currently the PC is a FX-8120 plus a corsair liquid cooler in a Cooler Master CM 690 II (http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid...-690-ii-ver-2/)
I've upgraded my old 6950 to a powercolor R9 390. I think the issue is the old card was one that vented 95% of the air out of the cards backplate whilst this new one vents mostly into the case itself.

The PC is getting rather toasty now, especially around the GPU.
For fans, i have one in the top panel sucking air in (there is mounting room for two though). one on the rear mount on the liquid CPU cooler and finally one on the front panel also sucking air in.

Firstly, how would you suggest placing what i already have? I'm thinking i might get a bit more airflow if i change the front panel fan's direction to vent air outside the case?

Secondly, as the existing fans are a bit noisy anyway, i was thinking of replacing them plus getting a few more.
The fan on the CPU cooler got replaced recently (http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/...an/jetflo-120/) So that one is okay, but i was thinking of replacing the other two and adding a second one to the top panel, which ones would people suggest? Quiet and not too expensive if possible please

    Personally....

I'd go front in (not sure if you can do 1/2 here but 2 if you can), bottom in (optional), back out, top out and side outtake although some would say the side should be an intake. Think of it as a 'natural flow' from front to back.

I shall give that a go. Mostly the side panel is irrelevant unless i have a major room rearrangement, for the PC is in a desk that gives full ventilation front/rear and top, yet about 1CM width on the side panel...

As heat rises, I'd recommend front/bottom fans as intakes, top/rear as exhaust... Populate all fan mounts with the largest fans available.

Most people forget this step... Get some airflow in the room, open a window/door, or use air conditioning. Cooling a PC in a hot room is never easy.

I agree with this and was going to suggest he swaps the direction of flow on the top fan to begin with.

Re: Advice required for case cooling.

Had a root around and found a spare 120mm fan and a fan guard in my box of PC bits, meaning i could install a fan on the bottom panel of the case without the PSU cables fouling it.
This has made the world of difference as rather than the GPU exhaust heat just sitting in the case or exiting via the CPU cooler, there's now a front-in -> GPU -> bottom-out loop at the bottom of the case

Still need to get new fans, as especially the one i found is old and loud, but the GPU no longer overheats...

Next paycheck i think i'll get new fans and try front/bottom-in, top/rear-out method and see if that improves things further
