Which fans for NZXT S340 case?

Ok here goes... I like the overall look of the NZXT S340, but I'm a little disappointed when it comes to my GPU temps (Zotac GTX 980 TI AMP!). I even applied some fresh TIM (Arctic MX-4) which dropped the temps by a couple of °C. The GPU temps will easily reach 80C when playing BF4 or the Witcher 3, but will drop to around 73C if I remove the front panel and dust filter from the case... I already knew the air intake would be somewhat restricted, but not by a massive amount (I thought).

Anyway, my case currently has a pair of 140mm Prolimatech Vortex 14 Blue Wings installed in the front that I bought when they were half price(https://www.overclockers.co.uk/proli...fg-000-pl.html). They are a bit loud and struggle to shift any air at all when the front panel and dust filter are attached to the case . Now this raises the question... Should I have gone for fans that are more static pressure orientated? I know SP fans are good at pushing air through obstacles, but what are they like at PULLING air through things like dust filters and restrictive panels? I only ever hear about people going on about their air pushing power.

What fans do you guys use with the S340 or similar styles cases?

Re: Which fans for NZXT S340 case?

I ended up buying a pair of 140mm Cougar fans (blue LED versions). They have a good static pressure rating and very good airflow (I've never bought any Cougar branded stuff before and only recently heard of them tbh). I can say that these fans are brilliant! Very quiet, shift plenty of air and have no issues at all pulling air through dust filters and airflow restricted front panels found on cases like the NZXT S340, Corsair 400C, Fractal Define, Phanteks P400 etc.
