    Dead pc

Hi I have had a Scan 3xS system since July and have been delighted with it.My Pc will not start up after it suddenly powered off while browsing the web with firefox
last night. The power in the house also went off for a split escond as though the PC had suffered a short circuit.
I have had no issues with the Machine apart from an occasional display driver failure while browsing the net. After googling this issue I ajusted the power managment on the card through the Nvidia taskbar control panel and the issue stopped. I recentley updated the graphic card driver and the problem returned. Occasionally the screen would go off and imediately back on with a taskbar message saying the "Nvidia display driver has stopped working." This happened once every couple of days. It only happened when browsing the net, while the computer was carrying out graphic intensive tasks it worked fine. Amost as though the nvidia card was not happy when operating at low power. It now appears as though the either the graphics card, motherboard or PSU has failed.

Please advise as I would obviously like to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

    Re: Dead pc

The Engineer called yesterdaay afternoon and replaced the power supply. The PC is now up and running, Thankyou! He had left before I got home from work so is there any way of finding out what sort of power supply he used, has he replaced like for like, any idea what caused the failure in the first instance.

    Thanks again Scan
