    PC Trying Boot

I turned my PC off on Wednesday night and them also turned it off by the plug socket after it had shut down. I was out on Thursday so didn't use the PC at all.

Friday evening I came home hoping for a weekend of gaming, turn on the Plug and try to turn on the PC. the case light comes on for a second or two and then fans spin up for a second or two also. Then the system turns off. It then proceeds to keep trying to turn itself on with everything coming on then off for a couple of seconds then repeating without me even having trying to turn it on by the power switch again.

I work in the industry and have tried all the troubleshooting that I can but am left thinking that its either MB or PS failure.

Very, very gutted that my new very expensive PC is after only 3 weeks a £1000+ doorstop.

Been trying to call support all morning only to find out from CS that they are not open at weekends!

If in doubt it usually is the power supply, try one from another PC.

I notice you have a GB Z68 board which can suffer from boot loop. Same happened to me but I managed to recover it. There is a massive thread on it. Not sure if I am allowed to link so search for "gigabyte boot loop" and you should find it. Good luck.

    Re: PC Trying Boot

    Hi Kieran

The issue can be caused by Sleep or Hibernation on Overclocked systems but we have seen this happen a few times without this being done....

Resetting the Cmos usually fixes it and I have looked in the query and see that your issue was resolved by the 3XS team by resetting the cmos

If you have any more issues or questions please email us at systemsupport@scan.co.uk

    Regards

    Ben
