    System wont boot

    Hey there

I received my new system today, removed all the packaging inside and plugged in the monitor/keyboard etc.

I powered the system on and it says there's no hard drive found It's asking me to restart and insert a boot drive..

    What shall I do?

    Thanks

    Dan

Take a look inside and see if one of the power or sata leads has come off one of the drives or indeed if one of the sata leads has come off the mainboard.

    Thanks Jonj1611

I was hoping it was something as simple as this

2 of the SATA leads had come loose off the back of the drives. Plugged in correctly and everything's working fine!

    Re: System wont boot

Any suggestions on copying data from old pc onto new pc? (Music, videos, photos etc)

    1. Connect old pc to network and transfer directly onto new pc
    2. Copy data onto external HDD and copy back onto new pc
    3. Buy a pc-to-pc usb lead and transfer data directly
    4. Another option don't know about or haven't thought of

    Re: System wont boot

The first two are easiest and quickest out of those options, the first one maybe not, depending on network speed and how much data you have. But definitely the first two

I still don't think my system is booting correctly, not sure if this has anything to do with it?

You could try Google and search for drivers for that name. Or disable it in device manager then reboot and see if you get the same problem.
