Got my 3XS System today - Overall Happy, but scan has missed something important

Hi Scan,

Today i Received my 3XS System everything is great except for one very basic thing you guys missed out. The Front panel hasn't been connected AT ALL not the microphone and not the 2 front USB3 slots, I specifically chose the motherboard because it has two front USB3.0 connectors and the case too.

I Looked for the Case wires to that i could connect the Front panel but i could not for the life of me find it, its really well hidden and i searched the entire case (without undoing all your neat wiring) and could not find the connectors.

Please could one of your engineers come round and connect the front panel for me, or if thats not possible tell me where you guys put these wires when you build. Im suspecting the wires are hidden in front of the DVD drive as theres a little gap there. I don't want to fiddle with the system too much just in case this somehow voids my warrenty.

Hi Amit,

Are there any USB cables hanging out the back of the system? These are as a pass through for the front panel USB 3.0 and should be connected into a rear USB 3.0 port.

The front panel audio would be plugged into the Asus Xonar soundcard you have rather than the on-board audio pictured.

You need to change the output to FP headphones or speaker in the Xonar software in order to use the front panel.

Hi Rob,

My mistake, The Motherboard infact allows for 3 USB front panel slots and scan had already installed the front 2 USB slots on the first motherboard connector. (F_USB30_1)
My USB 3.0 flash drive didn't show up at all so I figured it wasn't connected, after finding out it was connected to the motherboard I tried a normal USB 2.0 Drive and it loaded fine. There's still an issue with the USB3.0 flash drive (on another computer it is loading fine, so the flash drive itself is ok) I will investigate further.

After looking, from what you said the front audio was connected to the soundcard the Xonar app just needed some configuring to get it to work.
