Question about my order - No BluRay

It's coming up to a year after I got my system working and I've just realised that I don't have a BluRay drive.

I've got a Vengeance system and one of the components I thought I was getting was a BluRay drive:

    Optical Drive 1 - DVD/Blu Ray
1 LiteOn IHOS104-6, BluRay & DVD Reader (Not writer)

I've just tried my first BluRay DVD and it doesn't read it. Have I got this wrong? I was never asked about this as an option.

    Thanks,

    Yao

Media player won't play Blu-Rays is the software that came with it installed?

Check the boxes as you should have got a disc with that drive with the software on, as mentioned it wont read the disc until it has the relevant software loaded.

Re: Question about my order - No BluRay

I haven't got a disc to support the drive as Scan never provided one. To be honest, unless BluRay drives look like DVD drives in Device Manager I simply think I've got a normal DVD drive. This is how it's coming up in Device Manager:

    PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-219L

A bit annoyed with myself about this to be honest, and I should have checked more thoroughly when I ordered. I was so sure the system had BluRay at the time.

Can someone recommend a BluRay drive at least then?

    Hi

I can confirm after checking the quote sheet that you signed off for your build that there was not a Blu Ray drive on your order and this was never asked to be added at any point according to our records

These are the Blu ray drives we sell http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-...lu-ray-writers

I recommend the LG Retail as this is supplied with Blu Ray playback software

    Regards

    Ben
