    Warrant Concerns

    I am considering buying a Desktop pc from scan but have concerns about extended warranty. I read in sticky in the after sale support forum, that I would have to deal with the insurers directly and they would decide if onsite repairs had to be carried out.

    I am left feeling a little concerned about this, as I had assumed that I would be dealing with scan tech support directly.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

    You sure as that info is over a couple of years old, When I spoke to scan they said that they deal with it themselves.

    The Extended Warranty if purchased with a System covers you for onsite engineers through the insurer (Burnetts) however if you buy a 3xs System now they come with a 3 year warranty and the only thing you pay for in the second and third years are carriage costs as we cover labour and parts , this does mean the systems have to be returned to Scan in year 2 and 3 but many customers can take this opportunity for us to carry out upgrades at this time so it works out more cost effective
