Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77 OC profile help needed

Hi all

Just finally built my new system was not as easy as I hoped and I love windows 8.

Here is my question I brought a oc bundle from 3XS but it is currently not on a OC profile on bios as on cpu z it says speed 3.4ghz, How do I change the profiles on a Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77

Hi

To load the Profile

Restart the system and Tap Del to enter the bios

Goto Tools
Asus OC Profile

Load from Profile (Press Enter) select 2 (For Overclock)
Press Esc then F10 and Save the settings and exit

The Overclcock will only show when the CPU is under load so try running Prime 95 and check CPUz

Thanks for the assistance what sort of temps should I worry about? just played guild wars 2 and none of the core temps went above 55 at any time

Hi

Those temps are fine for in game temps under load vary depending on the Overclock and the cooler

If you are getting 55 and lower thats great, whaty do you get when running Prime95?

No have not ran prime 95 how long do I need to leave it running

Highest it went to was 67c

also as a side question does all ram have to be the same make cause i have 4gb of ram in my old system

The mobo may try to drop all the RAM speeds to the old ram, had this happen on occasion. If it's all the same speed then make shouldn't be a big issue, I would probably pair makes together just to be sure.

*Don't work for Scan just some advice.

Hi I had a power cut and I think it has wiped my oc settings on CpuZ the highest the clock goes is 3.6ghz while gaming

If the profiles are not there in the bios drop us an email to systemsupport@scan.co.uk as we should have your overclock settings on file
