    Corsair H100i Fans Problem

Hi, I purchased a 3XS system a couple of weeks back, but recently I have noticed a problem, whenever the fans on the H100i are set above 900rpm, they start to rattle, I have upgraded to the latest version of Corsair Link and upgraded the firmware as I heard that solved issues, but the problem still persists.

    Re: Corsair H100i Fans Problem

Got a reply, scan sent me 2 new fans and some thermal paste as I had to take the cooler off to get at the bottom screws, but the new fans I am only able to put to 1800rpm, whereas the other went to around 2400, do you know what the cause of this is?

    Hi Whalley

The fans may be a different model or from a different batch, are the temps ok with the new fans?

    Regards

    Re: Corsair H100i Fans Problem

With the fans max at 1800rpm, the pump temperature is idling anywhere from 28 degrees, but today is fairly warm in my room, to about 23 degrees in the middle of the night, so CPU temperatures idle at around 26-28, and can go down to 22-25 in the middle of the night, running games like BF3 etc the pump temp goes to around 28-33 and the CPU anywhere from 43-55, this is with overclocking profile off, as I don't know whether the temperatures would be safe, so do you think these temps would be OK if I applied the overclocking settings, as on my old fans at 2400rpm all off them at max, the CPU would hit odd spikes of 80 degrees on prime 95 and stay at 55-63 on BF3 again with the fans at max 2400?

    Hi Whalley

The idle temps are fine and I advise that you test with the OC and see if the fan cools the CPU ok, if its getting too hot and this depends on the OC you have then if you get back onto System Support they can look into sorting another fan for you

    Regards

    Re: Corsair H100i Fans Problem

Hi thank you for replying, the temperatures with the overclock seem completely fine at the moment, however I would just like to ask one last question, it is off topic, but I may as well just ask it in this thread anyway, I bought the 3XS system at like the 5th of May or something, and I didn't fully know when the GTX 770 was going to come out, and I just saw it came out today, is there anyway I could send the 2 670's I have and add to the cost of the new 770s? because I looked at the Evga Step Up programme and I can't register one of my GPU's because the little sticker with the product ID on is only on one GPU :S, Thank you.

    Hi Whalley

Unfortunately we cannot upgrade the cards for the 770s.
