    system unstable causing software crashes

so this system has been working well enough since purchase only a few BSOD which seen to be something to do with hal.dll that doesn't really matter much as its only been a few times. but this my 3Ds Max files and renders have been crashing constantly which only seems to happen on this machine. the 3Ds Max files have been tested on 5 other machines with no crashes at all so it there has to be something wrong with this system. i've uninstalled every trace of 3ds max and plugins and reinstalled and has made no difference, the renders only crash on this system compared to the other 5

    today i
-updated windows 7 to latest updates
    -updated nvidia driver to 320.49
-ran a windows 7 repair from disc with no errors
-ran a windows 7 memory check with no errors
-ran a disk check on the C drive with no errors
-ran a blended prime95 test and got a BSOD after about 5 mins which leads to think that the overclock is unstable? would that cause 3Ds Max to crash and the other BSOD

    please help, pretty desperate

Re: system unstable causing software crashes

    Hi c0mpani0ncube

Please confirm your Build and Invoice number and we will look into this for you, you can send these details to systemsupport@scan.co.uk

With reference to running blend we advise on high Overclocks to test with Small FFTs and if you have had the system a while you may need to up the CPU voltage
We will know more once we have your spec to look at

    Regards

    Ben
