    Graphics Card Question

I'm very close to recieving a 3XS with a single GTX 480 card. Now this may seem like a stupid question, but to run card in SLI do they have to be the same card or can I say get a GTS 250 and run it in SLI with the 480?

I'm just curious for future upgrading. I've ordered the power supply to accomodate another card, just wondering what my options were.

    Thanks to anyone who helps.

p.s. hopefully some pictures of my system will be up in the pictures thread later today. I'll put up full specs when the pics are up.

    Re: Graphics Card Question

Yes thank you for the very informative answer. I will bear that in mind, however i'll probably stick with the single card. 2 GTX 480's would tax my finances just a little.

How do you say Thanks? I don't see any thanks button where I expect it to be.

Love to but I don't have a high enough post count to send PM's.

Phillip has assured me he'll get some picture up before the system is dispatched.

    Re: Graphics Card Question

I'm working on gettin my post count up. Trying very hard not to spam, however its very difficult when the goal is getting pictures of my system. Ah well back to finding threads I might actually be able to contribute to.
