Hi,

After a month of a perfect, stable PC, I have spent the past 3 days getting blue screens or reboots as soon as I get past POST. This is the same if I am loading from disc (for Ubuntu Live CD or for the Windows Install DVD). This problem has gotten progressively worse for these 3 days, with it initially blue screening once during heavy load (BF:BC2), then a day later during light load, and now it will not even let me get to a log in screen. Within 20 seconds of POST it is guaranteed to have rebooted or blue screened with an error code of 124 or 7F.

On day two, I was lucky enough to get into Windows 7 Safe Mode long enough to transfer any important documents to my external hard drive. Whilst trying to reinstall Windows, after the first reboot, the PC blue screened. Now I have a half installed version of Windows 7 on my PC too.

I have researched and seen a few threads around showing a similar problem, however none of their solutions have worked for me.

I have tried:
booting into safe mode (this will blue screen also before getting to the log in screen).
reinstalling video card and sound card drivers.
reseating all hard ware, including unplugging and plugging in all cables.
using each stick of ram singly in each slot.
disconnecting the hard drive to use Ubuntu (as the Live CD does not need a hard drive to run).
reinstalling Windows.
all unnecessary hardware has been unplugged.
set the bios to stock settings.
reset the cmos.

all of which will still give me the blue screen error or a reboot just after POST.

The set-up:
Intel Core i5 2500k
Asus P8P67 LE MoBo (has not been replaced for the new revision yet)
EVGA GTX460 graphics card (also bought from Scan about a week before the 3XS bundle)
4GB Corsar A50 (2x2GB)
600Watt Enermax Noisetaker PSU
300GB Maxtor SATA HDD

I have done some research and found it can be a problem with almost anything - but most of the Sandy Bridge related blue screens seem to point to either a CPU or motherboard error. I would love to find that this can be fixed without sending anything back, but unfortunately it seems to be past that.

Im just curious whether there is anything else I can try, whether anyone else has had a similar issue, and whether it seems more like a CPU or Motherboard (or other) error?

Id be incredibly grateful for any help anyone can give me about what I should do, with regards to RMA'ing or ideas for me to try and fix it. Also, apologies for the wall of text.
