    hard drives price increase

    hi, a couple of weeks ago i bought a 3xs system with 500GB Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s, 7200rpm, 16MB Cache, 8.5ms, NCQ
back then it was around £35 inc VAT, now it is over 80. so whats happened ? i wanted to buy another1 but now i will pass. i've also notice a huge price increase in all of yours hard drives, isnt it should be the other way around? after some time price should drop?
    thanks
