    Motherboard BIOS

So, in my infinite wisdom i attempted to update my BIOS with MSIs Live Update program... All seemed to go according to plan and now my computer starts up beeps once and brings me to the windows repair screen. My mobo is a MSI P67A-C45, so do i need a new Mobo or is there a way of resetting the BIOS or am i just screwed?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mate,

Your bios sounds fine to be honest, sounds more like a Windows issue, try this link mate :-

    Re: Motherboard BIOS

Have you tried tapping F8 as the computer starts and loading safe mode? If you can you maybe able to do a system restore to an earlier date.

To be honest there are quite a few things that can cause the issue you are having.

    Re: Motherboard BIOS

    Hi

Clear the CMOS by taking the motherboard battery out for a half hour and pull the power cable out of the back

Once you put the battery back in and the power cable back in power on and goto the bios and check that the drive configuration is set as AHCI or Raid as it will default to IDE and the system will blue screen

Try Raid first and if it Blue screens and wont boot dont repair when prompted, restart and set it to AHCI and try that...

The Overclock settings we may well have on file I will check please email your Build and Invoice number to systemsupport@scan.co.uk and I will check

    Regards

    Ben
