Integrated Graphics

Hi all, I'm running an i7 2600k and was wondering if my gfx card went faulty and I wanted to use the built in graphics of the cpu while my dedicated card was being repaired, would it just be a case of connecting the monitor up to the vga port on the motherboard or would I need to install any software or make changes in the BIOS or windows even.

You should be able to just connect it up and the default vga driver will kick in. From your 800x600 desktop you'll be able to download the necessary drivers for your (shiny, new ) Intel gpu.
