    potential system

Hi, looking for a Gaming system for my nephew. GW2, MMO's and FPS is what he wants it for.
He has about £500-£600. Can let him have some cash.
He has a graphics card, I would like him to buy everything else and get it built. He will then save up for a new graphics card.

Overclocking: Intel i5 professionally overclocked to 4.5Ghz!
CPU: Intel Core i5 2550K 3.4GHz Quad Core 6MB Cache - No onboard Graphics!
CPU Coolers: Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU Cooler - Quiet Cooler
    Motherboard Z68: Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Chipset - USB3 & SATA6 Support!
    Memory - DDR3: 8Gb (2x4Gb) Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 1600Mhz
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit - OEM
Power Supply Units: 650W Corsair Enthusiast Series - 80 PLUS Bronze
Case: Coolermaster HAF 932 Advance Black Full Tower Case with USB 3.0
Ssd: OCZ Technology 128GB Octane SSD - Solid State Drive - OCT1-25SAT2-128G
Dvd: Sony AD-7261S-0B SATA DVW Writer Internal with Lightscribe.

    Total £688.59

Is there a fee to stick it in the case?
Would you go with the Motherboard Z68: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 Intel Z68 Chipset - As above with SLI Support! Instead? I have the Asus in mine, does run a bit hot.

    Patrick

    Re: potential system

Looks like a nice system, but I'd ditch the AC Freezer 13 for a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus or -Evo.

As for the motherboard.. did you mean the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 (Gen 3 aka Rev. 1.3) ?
Only real difference seem to be 2 more USB 3.0 ports (front USB 3.0) + SLI support. edit: and Firewire ports.. does anyone still use these?!

The LX in the Asus model number makes me think of a stripped down board. Sort of like the "L" in some Gigabyte model numbers (for "Lite")

    Re: potential system

The cooler is the option for the over-clocked kit, I would change it as well. I have the Noctua which is great, if the system is ok I will phone to see if we can change the cooler, the arctic one looks good for him.

    Thx for the reply.
