After a month of waiting I finally got my 3XS system
Unfortunately it seems to have taken some damage during transport.
1) CPU cooler: When I first fired up the system it made a loud noise. As it turned out the CPU fan was in contact with the fan power cable below. I opened the case and moved the power cable slightly which helped a bit; that is only a temporary solution as the power cable cannot be moved by a mm and it's worse when under load. It will need to be replaced.
2) PSU: As a casual gamer I wanted to check the system's performance. When running a game a high pitched noise can be heard. It's an expensive SG08 case with 600W PSU. Everything is close together in the ITX case however I don't think it's the graphics card that is making this noise.
3) 2TB SEAGATE ST2000DM001: on start, shutdown and during use it randomly makes a loud clicking noise which does not sound normal. Sounds like metal on metal noise. Did a bit of googling and a few people have reported similar issue. May be that is normal for that hard drive but the noise is quite loud and disturbing and does not give much confidence in storing valuable data on that drive.
Can someone from Scan please get in touch.
Thanks a lot!!
