    Thanks again Scan

Just a quick message to thank Scan for their excellent service.. once again.

Ordered a Crucial M4 256 yesterday afternoon and it arrived 8am this morning.. with a free gift included ( a lovely 2gb microSD card)..

You know.. the little gestures usually make the most impact and this definately worked for me..

Keep up the great work Scan !! It is fantastic to have such a reliable service on the internet.

Your so lucky, I spent £2200 a month ago and I still haven't received anything. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how I feel.

The SD card was a bundle deal on a today only page a while ago I believe.

Unlucky spoons.. I can confirm that I did buy it on the Today Only offer...

Scan are very clever at monitoring what people are looking at and then the next day or so .. it is suddenly in Today Only offers.. which tempts the prospective buyers to purchase even more.. hehhee.

    Re: Thanks again Scan

Spoons.. the new drive is fantastic now..... I had to get it as I was fed up with my 128gb M4 running out of space and I was using junctions to move stuff onto other drives.. it just gets a bit of a pain to keep doing this... ( Steam is to blame mostly as you can only have 1 drive folder for all your steam games.. and I could only sotre some of my steam games on the SSD due to having to many steam games.. lo.. (xmas deals and regular offers.....)

Mind you.. I had a nightmare when I first got the drive. I used some free Clone software to clone my existing 128gb m4 onto the new 256gb m4 and this caused chaos.... when I booted from the new drive it said my windows 7 pro was not genuine and I spent 2 days finding a solution to that. Lesson for me from this was to just use the standard windows 7 backup utility to create a system image and restore that onto the new drive...

I used to use windows backup for images and found it worked great then for some reason it stopped working, it would create an image ok but when it came to restoring the image it would get half way through and just stop...I use Acronis now which works well...anyway this drive is just for movies and phtos so no cloning to do.....should be here between 1.35 and 2.35

    .
Was you using Steam Mover, or Steam Tool Library Manager? I'm pretty certain it just creations junctions via a UI but might take the hassle out of the process a bit. Although a nice new 256GB Crucial M4 does sound very nice

Nocode.. didnt realise those steam tools exist.. so thanks for posting that. :--)

I got a nice new 256gb working fine now but I can still use this steam tool to move some of my less played games onto my "spare" 128gb M4 now :---)

    Cheers.
