Thanks Scan For My Awesome New System!!!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Jason Atkins at Scan for all the hard work he put into helping me configure this system. Also a really big thank you to Rob who built this PC and I think he did an amazing job.

    The spec is:

    CPU: Intel 3960X (C2) @ 4.6ghz (Watercooled)
Motherboard: Asus ROG Rampage IV Extreme Memory Corsair X79
    Mem: Dominator GT 16GB DDR3 @ 2133 MHz CAS 9 Quad Channel
Storage: 120GB Corsair FORCE SSD [Apps] &
    2x Crucial M4 512GB SSD's [1 = Origin / Blizzard & 1 = Steam] &
    120GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD [O/S] &
1TB WD Caviar Black [Music / TV / Downloads / Old Games] &
1.5TB External Samsung Story Station [TV / Film / Backups]
Gfx Card(s): 2 x POV TGT Beast GTX 680's in SLI (Watercooled)
    ODD: LG Blu-ray Drive
    Fan Controller: Aquaero 5 Pro
Custom Loop: 5.25" Bay Res -> Pump -> Gfx card 1 -> Gfx Card 2 -> 120mm Rad (Exhaust's outside case) -> CPU -> 360mm Rad (can't quite see this in the photo's but it's massive and at the top - Exhausts outside case)
Sound: Asus Xonar D2X soundcard & Logitech Z906 5.1 speakers
    PSU: Corsair HX1000
    Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D
Keyboard: Generic Logitech (Probably should upgrade)
Mouse: Generic Logitech (Probably should upgrade too)
    O/S: Windows 7 Home Premium
    Monitor: iiyama Prolite E2407HDS 24" @ 1920x1080

    And here it is:

    Front

Right Side - Should be able to make out the 4 SSD's. 2 x 512GB Crucial M4's at the top and the 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K underneath them. Then the 120GB Corsair Force SSD tucked away at the bottom.

I've got to say that it runs everything that I have thrown at it without breaking a sweat! Thanks to Rob for customising the Aquaero 5 Pro Aquasuite software to manage the fan speeds more effectively. I can barely hear anything at idle and in-game not a thing so thanks - it's perfect!

Hopefully this shows you what care and attention the guys at Scan put into their builds. A clean build leads to a better through-flow of air through the system which aids in keeping things nice and cool.

I don't want to belabour the point but before I found Scan I did try several other "boutique" builders for my PC's and the build quality was nowhere near as good. Cabling all over the place and in the way of the fans. rather unsurprisingly I had some issues with stability and that led me to giving Scan a go and thank God I did!

Thanks again to everybody at Scan. Sadly, in this day and age good customer service and a good quality product are all too rare a thing to find. Please keep up the good work Scan and you will have a customer in me for life!

P.S. Hoping to see your systems Nocode & Cactusjack once their built. Hopefully not too long to wait now

Re: Thanks Scan For My Awesome New System!!!

Definately, I'll post pictures of my system when I get it - but I fear it's going to be a little way off as I'm still waiting on a build number and date. The memory and Corsair H100 was out of stock, which I believe have now come in today speaking to Lee P.

drharvey12 - the specs on your right look amazing, so very very jealous! I can't see the pics as I'm currently at work (and they block a lot of the image sites like imageshack etc) so I'll have to wait till I get home tonight to drool over them!
