GTS System Build - Progress Query

    Hi,

order placed 05/08/12, received an email 11/08/12 with a build date of 23/08/12.
Looking at the 3XS System Tracking page still shows my system at "Awaiting Build".
Looking at the Order Progress page my system shows as 'Awaiting Parts' - however, I have had no communication detailing parts being out of stock.

What I am looking for is -
    1. Confirmation that the build has commenced.
    2. If the build has not commenced due to stock issues, communication about what options are open to me.

Re: GTS System Build - Progress Query

Just to help you, I ordered my system on the 14/7/12 and got it on the 18/8/12, so it takes about 1 month from ordering to being set up in your home.

Re: GTS System Build - Progress Query

I had hoped to call Scan, but its pretty much impossible for me to do so during my work hours (which is when Scan is open). Internet access is available, which is why the forum is such a convenient means to communicate.... if Scan monitor it.

Re: GTS System Build - Progress Query

Update - just had an email from Scan confirming stock issues have been resolved, and they delay is due to a backlog on builds. Build should commence in the next few days. Thanks for everyones advice and help on this, especially Aaron for getting me an answer so quickly.

Re: GTS System Build - Progress Query

So far everything seems fine - excellent build quality, no temperature or vibration issues, plenty of space inside the case. Heaviest load so far is Left 4 Dead 2, no problems at all. Will update my profile with the specifics of the build, but off-hand I went for the MSI G45, I5 3570K, 8GB RAM, HD7770, 1TB HDD and 120GB Agility 3 SSD. The inclusion of an SSD opens up a different world, so well worth considering.

Correct, an SSD makes more difference to speed than any other component in your system will. Well worth the upgrade!
