I would like help before i place an order

I am looking at the Z77 set with the

Extreme - 4.6Ghz - Tuned to absolute safe maximum - Performance prioritised over acoustics.
Intel Core i7 3770K, Ivy Bridge, 3.5GHz, Quad Core + Hyperthreading, 8MB Cache
EVGA Z77 FTW, Intel Z77 Chipset

I would like 16gb of the below memory but it only lets me select one ?? is it possible to have 16gb
    8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Dominator Platinum, DDR3, 2133MHz - Requires Hydro CPU Cooler!

Also it says i need the hydro cpu cooler but i have my own £300 water cooling kit do i still have to purchase a cooler i would never use ??
As the price i pay for the Hydro cooler would buy me a new 1155 cpu water block

    Thanks

Not sure if Scan would support a 3XS build if you are going to mod it as soon as it gets to you. Suspect if you have the skill to fit a water cooling system then you can just buy the parts and fit, will end up cheaper I suspect as well...only thing you miss is the overclock but tbh it's easy enough on the Ivy bridge chipsets. 1 setting that you boost and with the water cooling they won't protect the build as they didn't install it.

I seem to remember there being previous posts explaining that some additions will void the warranty they offer and that has to be one of the big benefits of paying what is not a great deal extra for Scan to build it.

That having been said Scan might be prepared to mod one of their "standard" 3XS systems and you would still enjoy the warranty.

It is definitely worth asking the question as you can have what you want and peace of mind for what will probably be quite a reasonable price.
