3XS Order/Build Process

Just a query here about how exactly the order/build process should work.

I placed an order on the website yesterday morning for a custom 3XS system sellecting the 4 day option, I then received two emails, one confirming order, one confirming payment and then nothing.

I was expecting at least some kind of build number/estimate before build email. S earlier I rang scan to enquire how the order/build process works as there appears very little information on the website about this (it would be really good if something like this was availible, as I did get confused by the order confirmation email having a delivery date in it), only to be told not only was one of the items not in stock, it was also EOL (end of life). Apprently this was not important enough for them to contact me, I then had a hard time with the support person selecting an alternative SSD because thier version of "help" was just giving me various LN numbers down the phone, although in the end finaly got it sorted.

So what should the normal procedure be, when after order to you get the Build number/delivery estimate as I still have had neither. I enderstand that if components are not in stock the 4 days is unrealistic but had hopped for at least some communications

Just as an update, not 30 mins after posting this I got a nice email from Phil with my build number in it, although the component list still lists the old SSD.

Looking forward to receiving the system
