    Pre-built watercooled PC questions

    Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying a pre-built watercooled PC from Scan with 3 year onsite warranty with a budget of £2-3k. I have a few questions before i spend a lot of money. Who actually comes round to fix problems? With a watercooled PC i think it needs maintenance a few times every year? I dont want to do that so will Scan send someone round to?

    many thanks in advance

    Hi GodAtum

Unfortunately at this present time water cooling is covered at Scan and cant be done onsite as advised on Scans Website , the onsite covers you for hardware replacement if required under warranty of parts like Hard Drive,SSD GPU/CPU - PSU & Memory

    Regards

    Ben

Thank you for your reply. So I would need to cover the cost of sending it in and arrange my own shipping? If i want an upgrade after a few years can i also send it in too? What company does the onsite?

Also can you build with cases not stocked on your website, mainly the gigantic Caselabs ones ?

    ok .. first ..slap ..
water cooling takes a lot of care ..cleaning rads once a month checking water lvl, flow rates ..ect every system is better if built by yourself ...

you can't throw money at everything somtimes you must put in a little bit of yourself ..
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true
    (Cassandra, in Agamemnon by Aeschylus)

To see the wizard one must look behind the curtain ....

    Hi GodAtum

We cover carriage Parts and labour in Year 1
In year 2 & 3 we cover parts and Labour only and you pay carriage costs
We can arrange the carriage for you and just bill you once the system has been finished

Yes we do upgrades as well thats no problem

With reference to the case , it has to be one we have on spec as we need to be able to fit radiator(s) in and also need to be able to get spares if they are needed for the case from supplier

The onsite company depends where you are based?

I have a Water Cooled Dual Radiator system in a Silverstone TJ07 case and flush the system out once a year and everytime the hoover is out I wizz over the vents for the radiator as I would with any air cooled system so maintenance wise it does involve more than an air cooled system but you end up with a nice quiet cool machine

    Regards

    Ben
