    Talking Overclock

I Know this is a bit of a long shot as I bought my PC from SCAN a couple of years back now but I cannot get the overclock to run.
    This is my system :-

    Asus Rampage II Extreme, Intel X58, Sok 1366, PCI-E 2.0, DDR3 1600(OC)/1800(OC), SATA I/II, ATX
    Intel i7 920, 2.66Ghz, 4.8GT/s QPI, @ 3.8Ghz+ with 20% OC (D0 Step)
Corsair Cooling™ Hydro Series H50 High-performance CPU Cooler
    3XS System Core-Logic Overclocking*10 - 20%*
    6GB (3x2GB) Corsair Dominator GT, DDR3 PC3-16000 (2000), CAS 8.

Nothing has changed except for the memory, it was RMA due to a fault and replaced with this instead. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/12gb-...hx-xmp-df-165v

I thought it would be a straight swap but the system wont boot under overclocking mode as stipulated via here http://forums.hexus.net/scan-3xs-sys...7-systems.html

But when I enable the overclocking it wont boot up or when it does it refers me back to F1 default, F2 try again.

    Any advice or direction guys

    Hi dark-knight

Try loading the profile and then manually setting the memory timings and memory voltage as these are probably different than the original ram

Also you can try lowering the CPU multiplier in case the new ram has an issue with the OC

If you want us to look into your settings please email us your build and Invoice number to

    Regards

    Ben

    Re: Overclock

    Hi dark-Knight

The original Memory has the following timings and voltage

    8-8-8-24
    1.65 V

    The new memory is 9-10-9-27
The voltage is the same so thats fine

You will need to alter the memory timings as thats more than likely the issue

You can also up the CPU voltage if you need to
Its currently set to CPU Voltage: 1.33125

You can increase this to 1.34V it may also help with stability

    Regards

    Ben
