Cant access keyboard led and functions

I have just received my new laptop and am having a couple of issues.

1. I cant seem to access the keyboard led menu. I have pressed the fn key along the the appropriate key as in the manual and it appers to do nothing. I cannot toggle the led keyboard , change brightness or access the keyboard backlight application. Pressing and holding the fn key with the correct key just does nothing?

2. Also , is the side usb ports and the touchpad also supposed to be illuminated because they are not.

Ok. After some googling i noticed something called hotkey driver on the utility disk. I presume you did not install this when testing. I have tried to install this driver but receive a ".netframework application utility has stopped working" error message. Am i on the right track here , and if i am , i need to get past this .netframework error as it wont let the driver installion install correctly.

Hi barberbookie

The driver has not yet been passed to us from Clevo for this chassis for Win 7 as it is currently in development, the one supplied is for Windows 8 and wont work with Win 7

I have flagged your invoice here and we will confirm when Clevo have added the driver to their download site

Hi Ben ,

Does this mean i therefore cant have any functionality over the backlit keyboard. eg turning it on off and changing colour and brightness. Also , should the usb ports and touchpad light up as i originally asked

For the time being until Clevo release the reworked touchpad driver the LEDs cant be changed
The USB ports and the Touchpad dont light up

I can now confirm that Clevo has released the hotkey driver and software for windows 7. Just follow the link , download and install. I now have full working functionality over the keyboard.
