Had my system nearly a year now and its been terrific.
Had a bit of an issue when playing World of Tanks where the system would lock up (was running the older drivers then)
Did a bit of digging and found an updated BIOS from Gigabyte that improved the motherboard's (A Gigabyte GA-H61MA D2V) compatibility with graphics cards.
Got the go ahead from Scan technical support to apply the updated BIOS and all seemed good.
In order to get the maximum performance I tend to keep the Nvidia drivers up to date, I seem to have hit an issue with the 320 versions though.
The system locks up randomly when not even doing any particularly graphics intensive tasks (just browsing and playing some music from iTunes)
The music will stutter and the mouse and keyboard will lock up for about 10 seconds then it will correct itself.
If I check the system event viewer this has been recorded
The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\Video5
!06d7(2648)
There appears to be a thread about it on Nvidia's own forum (I know posting a link to this is a no no) but just wondered if anyone else has come across the issue or if Scan could provide any advice?
Only thing that seems to help thus far is downgrading to driver version 314.22
Am using 1280 x 720 with 60 hz refresh on a Samsung S23A550H LED 23" monitor linked by HDMI.
All Windows Updates are applied automatically and a virus scan with Avast comes back clear.
