Vertical lines appearing on laptop screen

Hi,

My Scan 3XS LG15 Performance GTX laptop screen has recently started showing these vertical lines, and has some slightly off-colouring (mainly making everything green!)

When I press on the lower right part of the bezel it temporarily fixes the problem, so I assume it is a lose connection in the cable. I tried opening the laptop but couldn't see how to open the screen part...

Does anyone know either a) whether the problem is the lose cable, b) how I can open up the lid (i.e. screen) part of the laptop, or c) what cable I would need to order should that be the issue.
