Realistically, I'm not expecting the 3XS 5950x/RTX 3080 system I've commissioned to be picked, assembled, and delivered anytime soon. But I was wondering how the hard-to-find components were picked. If a 3080 became available, would it be set aside until a 5950x became available (or vice versa), or would both components need to become available simultaneously before being picked and moved on to the build stage. Obviously, the latter scenario could stretch a very long time into the future.

Just curious how it works really. I look at the Scan's Supply Status page, but that only really shows information for those who are presumably ordering individual components for self-build systems.
