Hi,
I am looking into purchasing a top-of-the-range 3xs system from scan.
I am interested in the watercooling and overclocking, however I want this computer to last me for a good number of years with regular use, and have heard that watercooling only lasts a certain amount of time? Also I have heard that overclocking greatly reduces the lifetime of components?
Is this true or would a top of the line (roughly £3,000) system that is watercooled and overclocked last me 6-7 years without the watercooling and overclocked parts failing?
Also, regarding the warranty I noticed that if you upgrade to 3 years on site, it is only compatible with systems costing a maximum of £2,000. Is there no way to get 3 year on site warranty for a system costing more than that?
Thanks.
