question about cpu on today only

    looking at this :

Intel Pentium D, 820, Socket 775, Smithfield Core, 2x2.8 GHz, 2MB Cache, Retail + Splinter Cell Double Agent GAME - OEM

its on today only but when you click info it says pre order item ?

after a cpu for my sisters rig only wanted to spend about £60 on a cpu though, upgrading from her old school athlon xp

Looks like it sold out I'd guess.

This is in your price range:

The downside is you'll also need new DDR2 RAM as well as the CPU & mobo.

If you're willing to go cheaper, you can still use the old DDR ram with this, but motherboards for it are fairly scarce:

the ram isnt a problem as im buying corsair xms2 ddr2 667 (1gb) stick from scan anyway, i was going to get the pentium D, corsair memory this gigabyte mobo..

edit ::::::::::: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=476333 <--- that looks sexy enough for my sisters pc. has pci-e 16x, ddr2 800mhz, sata II, onboard vga and is skt am2 so the above am2 cpu would work a treat.

    Double check then :

    mobo : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=476333
    CPU : http://www.scan.co.uk/products/produ...oductID=565920
    RAM : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=143574
CPU Cooler as cpu is oem : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=487708

would possibly like a better cpu cooler but seeing as its a budget pc anyway ( little sister ) don't wanna spend too much !

Generally we have a very fast turn around on cpus.... I'd check on stock, but you didn't include the LN refference?
