    Problem with RAM ordered

Hi guys, wondering if someone could help?

i ordered some PC2100 RAM to go in a friends DELL, checked out the spec of it, PC2100 RAM - excellent, so went ahead and ordered the RAM, problem was when i took the old RAM out and went to put the new in, it didn't fit!

sorry about the poor pic, but didn't have my camera on me at the time, so had to do with my camera phone..

as u can see the tabs are out..

    any ideas?

Looks like a propietory dell design so you can't freely upgrade with consumer products..

What type/model of dell is it?

The 'old ram' looks a little like DDR2.

Did you use the Corsair memory configurator to select the right memory for your Dell?
