Well, when the DDC2 was launched (which is the revision you are linking to) with the orange impeller, a lot of them are dieing and since then Laing has launched the DDC3.2 which is infact weaker than the DDC2 and comes with a blue impeller.

Only a few of the orange impeller DDC2s now exist and those are mainly old stock floating around in America, Europe was the first continent to get the 3.2 blue impeller.

There is no way of telling until you open one up (unless they are shipped in bubble wrap with top separate which I know one distributer of this pump does) which one you will get.

So far, there is not enough market time to prove if the 3.2 is a more reliable pump.
