    Samsung 245B "Unexpected Volumes in Warehouse"

    Hello,

    at the weekend just gone, I ordered a Samsung SM-245B (LN18937) and got the usual emails about payment etc. It was due to get picked and packed for tomorrow as per selected date when I have received the following circa 2000 tonight:

    ==============================================================
    Invoice Number: 000E959996
    Account Name: Mr Jonathan Phang

    Please regard this email as a notification of delay in your order due to unexpected volumes in our warehouse. Please rest assured your custom is greatly valued and we will process your order with the utmost urgency. Your order has still been booked for a next working day delivery from the point of despatch and we will send further emails to confirm this.
    ==============================================================

    Just wondering if you could shed some light on this? The following page states that it is in stock:
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=608174

    I'm not really having a rant but just wondering how much of a delay I could expect. I always buy from Scan because they have always been on the button - but in all due fairness, it would be nice to get some indication (A day? Days? Weeks?) rather than waiting and waiting for an email.

    Thanks in advance - I know you guys will do your best to get an answer to me

    JP

    It just means that they have had loads of orders to deal with, not even remotely related to low stock

    Normally orders delayed with this message get sent out the next working day. I still say the message is confusing grammar and that the sentence needs tidying up.

    Something like "Unfortunately due to an unexpected large volume of orders recieved today, we regret to inform you that your order has been delayed."

    "due to unexpected volume of orders in our warehouse" should do

    Well - that makes sense - and I hope thats all it is - holding off playing Bioshock until nice new shiny monitor turns up... mmmm..... But yes, Scan need to sort out the grammar of that email.

    Anyway - bed beckons!

    Excellent - just got my email through - so it should turn up tommorrow.

    @ Barrichello - what GPU are you using - you finding it ok at 1920*1200? Hopefully my righ can hack it at native res... otherwise its gonna be the excuse I need to quad core.... Or maybe the scaling will be good too and i can just drop the res.

    Well i have a 8800 GTS (mines not as good as your GTS) and i read that to game comfortably i really need a GTX instead, but to be honest i have not found this. I am playing latest release games at 1920-1200 with full detail and all runs superbly
