Next working day delivery, what a joke.

I made an order on Monday evening, to be delivered today. And received the email below at 8:14PM to tell me it wouldn’t come. Honestly, this is just not on, not only did you fail to pick and dispatch my order in two days, I was given no notification of the delay till the last moment. Perhaps you should notify customers of your 'unexpected volumesin' BEFORE they order.

Good customer service is when I ordered a battery from an eBay company, it was a few days late so they gave me all my money back [only a £6 item] but still, this sort of thing makes you wonder what you are paying for.

I think I may have made my last scan order.

Please regard this email as a notification of delay in your order due to unexpected volumesin our warehouse. Please rest assured your custom is greatly valued and we will process your order with the utmost urgency. Your order has still been booked for a next working day delivery from the point of despatch and we will send further emails to confirm this.

Should you require any further information or assistance please log a query using our online Customer Support service. Alternatively, you can contact our delivery support team on 0870-755-4747.

    Trippledence,

I can understand where you are coming from however the delivery charge is a next day delivery from the point of dispatch, if you PM me your invoice number I shall check the current status of the order and give you an update.

Turns out the delay was due to a 'STOCK DESCREPANCY' they are quite small, prehaps they got lost. Any way, they are still showing as in stock on the website: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=475814

This is a big issue I have with stores online that do this. They say all over their site that the delivery is next day, but when you speak to someone in the company they tell you its next day from the point of pickup from the courier. Why not state that on your site

    Grey M@a

The delivery charge we usually charge is for a next working day delivery obviously though if we dont dispatch the goods then they obviously aint going to be delivered.

To try and put this into perspective - the majority of the UK for normal post will use Royal Mail and pay around 35p for first class post (min) however due to the postal strikes recently this is delaying the post therefore the first class service is taking longer than normal.

Due to the ongoing works in the warehouse this is having the same effect of delaying orders as there is a vast amount of work ongoing which is delaying the warehouse staff, I aint going to go into the ongoing work as this has been done to death in several other threads, however as soon as the work is completed you will notice a difference

    Trippledence,

As per the PM the hard drive adapters are delaying the order, I have double checked with the warehouse manager and he has advised that although there should be a very small quantity in stock there arent where they should be in the warehouse

Please let me know how you wish to proceed.
